About this deal

LEGO Birds continues the incredible run of LEGO Ideas sets and is another feather in the cap of a consistently remarkable theme. I await each new quarterly review and announcement with feverish anticipation, curious to see what fan-voted set from LEGO Ideas gets turned into a retail product. EU: 6115784 Availability Retail - limited Notes Based on project "LEGO Bird Project" by user 'DeTomaso'. What it is is a fantastic display model and gets people thinking about what else can be built with LEGO. Despite being the simplest model, the Hummingbird takes the cake for the most interesting scene overall.

The brown 'Plate' would have been nice in transparent but I may be mistaken, but it could be its feet? LEGO, the LEGO logo, the Minifigure and the brick and knob configurations are trademarks and/or copyrights of the LEGO Group of companies which does not sponsor, authorize or endorse this site. Unlike the criticism I leveled the Robin for having a very rectangular shaped tail, it doesn’t seem to affect the Blue Jay as much thanks to a clever combination of the stripes and narrow tail which gives it much more definition than the Robin’s plain brown tail. I don’t watch or particularly care about Doctor Who, so I’ll wait till I see the final product before deciding to get it! Also, consider your own personal story – if you aren’t particularly interesting or don’t have a magical life story or job, forget it.The set has 232 pieces and features a nest with a flowering branch and space for a mummy bird, 2 chicks and 3 Easter eggs. The back of the manual has the same illustration as the back of the box except that it doesn’t have all that Ideas branding obscuring the pretty pictures. It's really great they have exposed the studs to capture what LEGO really is and how its simple brick can be constructed into a beautiful natural form, which isn't seen often. It's a set that will sky rocket in the aftermarket, you would rather purchase this whenever you get the chance since it has a limited production run like any other LEGO Ideas set.

However, I cannot fully side with your judgement:"Overall this set it is a must have set for adults.s first LEGO Ideas set, LEGO Birds showed up on my doorstep late last week and I couldn’t wait to tear into the set. So while you may have a great design and it may well be spectacular, popular and a shoe-in, it’s certainly no guarantee that you’ll see yourself in a Lego ideas booklet with the set nor a dollar from the sales.

LEGO TimeLapses builds Poulsom’s official LEGO Birds set, featuring a robin, a blue jay, and a hummingbird, in the above video. TKSST is an unprecedented collection of 6,000+ kid-friendly videos, curated for teachers and parents who want to share smarter, more meaningful media in the classroom and at home. The 9th Ideas set sees an interesting concept brought to life – beautiful brick-built models of a trio of birds: a Robin, Blue Jay and Hummingbird. I have two complaints which I have with most LEGO sets: when having SNOT techniques used in a LEGO set is requires you to assemble an opposite colour to the brick/s it will attached on to.Flip open the booklet and you’ll be treated to a nice little profile of the set’s designer, Tom Poulsom. and wonderfully unusual birds like the incredibly rare kakapo, a flightless creature previously seen on this site.
