About this deal

The transparent surface is seen as black, and the dust is reflected as a bright image, almost making it appear to look like the night sky.

The compact and powerful MX Anywhere 2 works everywhere you do and on virtually any surface—even glass. Part of this stems back to being comfortable with a desktop PC, and part of it has to do with the inconsistent quality of trackpads over the years. theduckofdeath - Tuesday, December 22, 2015 - link It was a great mouse for its size, but far from perfect.Visually appealing, with a straightforward design, the rubber finger rests on both flanks vaunt cool geometric patterns, and the contoured metallic lines toward the back of the mouse give it a modern look. Most people would throw the product right away, but as a tinkerer I rarely throw anything away before I attempt to figure out what is wrong and how to fix it. Battery life shouldn't be much of an issue, though, as it's rated to last about 70 days on full charge, based on about six hours of daily use.

This is a bit unnatural for me to use, but it’s not the most important of buttons as I’m mostly used to opening/closing tabs when browsing online with Mouse 3 – but it still feels a bit weird. Compatibility Details - USB Port or Bluetooth Smart Ready Device | USB Port Windows 7, Windows 8 or higher Mac OS X 10. It's true that most of these surfaces would work with a normal laser mouse, but it's good to have peace of mind for the occasional awkward tray table, countertop, or dreaded glass table. This is not a gaming mouse, so 1600 DPI is generally plenty in my experience and I prefer closer to 1000 for office tasks anyway. The Darkfield sensor is genuinely useful if you often sit down for meetings or demos in an unorthodox spots, and its small size makes it easier to carry in a bag or pocket, or use on, say, a tray table. And that’s what you want from a travel mouse; you want a small enough mouse that you’re not bothered about carrying around with – but of course you need to be able to use it comfortably. Other than those changes, this is definitely an evolutionary upgrade over the original Anywhere Mouse MX. For instance, something I need to use a lot is Alt PrtScn and I can map that to one of the side buttons. Through my years here, I've tested and reviewed many, many dozens of laptops and desktops, and I am always happy to recommend a PC for your needs and budget.

You get an almost ambidextrously shaped mouse, with a pair of forward and back buttons on the left side of the body, a high quality metal scroll wheel that can be tilted for horizontal scrolling, and the venerable DarkField laser sensor that can go up to 1600 DPI and able to track almost on any surface. NOTE: The information below is provided for your convenience only, accuracy of specifications cannot be guaranteed. To me, the only thing that was missing on the original Anywhere MX is that you can’t charge the mouse battery within the mouse itself. The new mouse can now be paired with up to three devices, and by Bluetooth or an included Logitech unified receiver. The Logitech MX Anywhere 2 is constructed with premium materials, making it reliable and durable over time.Plus the option to have three profiles – but these are a bit pointless to me at least on a travel mouse. The materials don't feel cheap, and it has a nice heft for something so small, even though it's not at all heavy. You can even copy text and files across two computers using the mouse—just drag them over to the other screen and paste, which is where the useful customizable button shortcuts are made even more helpful. It’s indeed a novel idea, and I can see myself using mouse and bluetooth keyboard when wirelessly presenting to the nearest monitor on an android tablet. While some of us might think that a sensor that can track on virtually any surface is gimmicky, for me it’s one of the must have feature a travel mouse should have, cause you never know what kind of surface you might have to .
