About this deal

Shoeswhich have been worn outside or on a marking surface (please note it is immediately obvious when shoes have been worn outside and we will not be able to accept a return if this is the case) All new hiking gear should be tested at home, not on the trail. Everything can have faults, from production to material or just fit and personal preference. If you plan on relying on your gear to keep you safe and comfortable outdoors, test it at home.

The flow rate of the filter can also be impacted by the filter size. Pictured is the Sawyer Mini (top) and the Sawyer Squeeze (bottom) next to a standard Bic lighter. The Sawyer Squeeze has a slightly faster filtration speed than the mini because it is a larger filter. Filter compatibility - the 28mm thread attaches to filters like theSawyer Squeeze, Mini, or Micro, the LifeStraw Flex, or the HydroBlu Versa Flow Silica Depth: Using multiple levels of finely grained silica sand, these filters work by layering the sand from largest to finest. As the water moves through the layers, the sand filters out the particles and organisms, so only clean water results. The Vecto doesn't need much maintenance (it has very few moving parts for simplicity), it can be frozen and thawed, strapped on the bag and even used as a pillow or a lantern. One thing you should notuse it as is a hot water bottle - any water hotter than 120°F (49°C) will degrade or damage the material. The exception is the VectoX, which can handle temperatures up to 212 degrees Fahrenheit - be careful though, the bag will be hot with hot water in it! Please note: TPU is a porous material and so is not completely smell free after production, please clean and air prior to use. Specifications:Despite looking simple, the Vecto is made from relatively complex materials, including a porous, soft, strong TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane). We chose these materials because they ensure the best lightweight performance from your Vecto - but they need a bit of care, too. So here is a little tutorial for what to do when you get your Vecto, and how to get the most of it on the trail. When You Get Your Vecto TheCnoc Vecto 28mm 2L Reservoir is a light, durable, and easy to handle water reservoir for outdoor adventures. It's easy to fill with just a couple of scoops, carry to a dry camp, or filter on the spot with a 28mm compatible filter. Easy to fill and simple to clean and dry due to the wide opening. The wide opening allows for the Vecto to be filled easily in any water conditions: running or standing water. You no longer need to find that perfect flow of water to fill your container, or improvise filling with a secondary vessel (and contaminating your cup) - just open the wide opening and scoop the water in seconds. When clean, let rest open over night with the slider holding the Vecto open. The plastic smell and taste should almost disappear after this first cleaning.

It fits the Sawyer Squeeze net bag. This allowed me to hang the CNOC VECTO on a branch and use it as a gravity water filtration system. If you are using your Vecto with any other product, from filters to hoses, attach and test them together, just to make sure everything works as it should. Now I know some people in forums say, that if you treat the bags well, they’ll hold. And that may be true. But these small accidents will happen and it can potentially end the whole trip. That’s not something I am willing to accept. The main risks of the bags popping It’d be nice if the orange cap was secured to the bottle like it is on Evernew’s soft water bottles or the slide was attached to the bottle like it is on the Platypus Big Zip. But neither of these omissions is a show stopper if you’re careful about where you place these two components when you take them off the Vecto water container.

Straw: Straw filters are a portable filter option, and like a drinking straw, all you have to do is put the straw filter into the water and drink. The suction of your drinking moves the water through the filter to clean it. These don’t filter much water at a time, but they work well for travel or emergencies.

Attaches to filters with a 28 mm thread, such as the Sawyer Micro, Sawyer Squeeze or Mini, the LifeStraw Flex, and the HydroBlu Versa Flow or the 42mm thread attaches to the BeFree filter One of the most compact and affordable water filters with a high performance level is the Sawyer Mini filter. It’s smaller and more lightweight than the Sawyer Squeeze, but it still provides the same filtering capabilities and water quality. The system has a small filter, a squeeze water bag, a straw, and a plunger/syringe to clean the filter. This filter functions the same as standard squeeze filters: Fill the water bag provided and squeeze the water to apply enough pressure to move the water through the filter. Attaches to filters with a 28 mm thread, such as the Sawyer Squeeze, Mini, or Micro, the LifeStraw Flex, and the HydroBlu Versa FlowPump: Pump filters are not as convenient as other filtering methods because they require manual pumping to move the dirty water through the filter. That said, pump filters are good for groups or filling up larger water containers. Usually, the hose inserts directly into the water, you manually pump the water to push it through the filter, and the clean water flows through the other tube into a new container. Durability: What is the lifespan of all filter components? Is there a return or repair policy if components break or malfunction? What is the warranty on the products? This change of mind return policy is in addition to, and does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law including any rights you may have in respect of faulty items.
