About this deal

Ross Jamieson, director and co-founder of Linlithgow Distillery came up with the initial design concept for the new bottle. He said:

Our Four Marys® Gin project has been created to complement our Premium London Dry Gin, LinGin®, by using unusual botanicals mixed with traditional ones to give bold flavours and mouthfeels. However, we have ambitious growth objectives and to realise these and integrate our future plans for distilling whisky, we wanted to create our own bottle. Speaking to The Spirits Business, Alyson confirmed that while issues such as the energy crisis, duty hikes, and the incoming deposit return scheme were a concern, the couple’s decision to withdraw from the business was a personal one: “The current climate in this industry is very challenging but not overwhelming, and can all be surmounted by someone with the energy to drive it forward. Initially I came up with a few sketches of ideas and we passed these over to our glass partners at Vetroelite. Their design team helped us to refine these, resulting in a bottle we are extremely proud of that introduces foil lettering on an offset label to create a contemporary bottle that truly reflects the quality of our gin. Game bonus: After a player has reached 100 points he gets a special game bonus, 100 points, added to his overall score.Discover wonderful wildlife tours to book and experience in Scotland, including bird watching safaris, whale watching, farm tours and much more! with a hint of pepper when drank neat, yet comes alive with citrus once you add a tonic and garnish. Linlithgow Loch is represented by the jade green colour of the bottle, which has been used throughout the distillery’s branding since launch.

Line bonus or box bonus: This bonus is added at the end of the game, and adds 25 points for each hand won during the game. Furthermore, the brand has developed a collection of flavoured gins called Four Marys, inspired by the four ladies-in-waiting to Mary Queen of Scots, who was born at Linlithgow Palace, as well as one quadruple-distilled Four Marys vodka. The objective of Gin Rummy is to collect cards into melds and have as little deadwood as possible at the end of a game. The game is scored based on how much deadwood you have at the end of each game. A game can span several rounds, it's over when one player reaches 100 points. At that point grand total for each player is calculated, with bonuses, and the player with the highest score wins the whole game. When it comes to accommodation in Scotland, there's a fantastic choice of amazing stays from luxury hotels to glamping getaways. However you choose to drink your LinGin, we hope you enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed making it.If you prefer your gin herby, then add 3 parts Fever-tree Mediterranean tonic to one part LinGin and garnish with a sprig of fresh rosemary. All four flavours are designed to be served over ice with a standard tonic – we use Fever-Tree Premium Tonic at the Distillery - and simple garnishes which make these drinks the perfect party G&Ts. If you prefer your gin citrussy, then add 3 parts Fever-tree tonic (either full fat or light) to one part LinGin and garnish with a quarter slice of orange. Scottish gin producer Linlithgow Distillery is being sold following the founders’ decision to step away from the business. Linlithgow Distillery produces a range of premium gins called LinGin Well done guys, you have a beautiful story, a stunning bottle and of course a gin as smooth as they come.

or C6 C7 C8 C9 C10. Aces are always low, never high, and runs can't wrap around, so Q,K,A,2 would not be a legal run. The bottle is square and tapered with each label uniquely designed to reflect the brand with a specially commissioned illustration of each Mary. Each illustration shows the Mary holding something specific to the Gin or the Mary's story. As an example Forever Fresh sees Mary Seton holding a key as she was instrumental in helping Queen Mary to escape incarceration from Loch Leven (the key). After Queen Mary's death, she returned to France and become a Nun. To reflect that she changed her live from being a Lady in Waiting to a Nun, Forever Fresh is changes colour from blue to pink when tonic is added.

Mother's Day Gifts

Big Gin: When all 10 cards in your hand and the card you just drew are parts of melds, so you have 11 cards, all in melds.

The brand’s portfolio includes its range of premium LinGin gins, which is composed of a classic London Dry; multiple limited edition cask-aged expressions; a pink fruit-based gin; a mulled gin; and a navy strength bottling. We are getting to that stage where energy is waning, although the passion is still there. Health is part of the decision, too, and we have been discussing this for the past six months – it’s just now is the right time to start seeking a new brand owner.” Featuring elements of five of Linlithgow’s most renowned landmarks and with our distillery name embossed into the shoulder of the bottle and our logo on the base, this bottle truly belongs to Linlithgow, especially as the skyline image has been taken from a photograph belonging to Linlithgow local, Martin Brown.” The Maltings, originally Mains Distillery and latterly converted into a malting house before being developed into apartments, is also represented by the cupola top to the bottle.

What our customers think

Mary Queen of Scots was born in Linlithgow in Palace in 1542. A lesser-known fact is that she had 4 ladies in waiting and they were all called Mary! Talented and loyal, they attended Mary with flair and character and they have been the inspiration for this series of expressions. Note: In the first turn, the starting player must choose to either draw the face up card in the board or pass the turn. If the card is drawn, proceed normally. If the turn is passed, the other player gets to make the same choice. If they pass too, the first player takes their turn normally. This online version of Gin Rummy was made by me. My name is Einar Egilsson and over there on the left is my current Facebook profile picture. Gin Rummy is a game I've been playing a lot lately with my son. I used to play a lot of Rummy when I was younger, but I prefer Gin Rummy now, and it's also a bit easier to create because you can't lay down melds all the time, which makes programming it simpler :) I hope you enjoy the game! St Michael’s spire is represented by the bottle shape and the impression of the Crown of Thorns spire when viewing the bottle from the top down and in the Linlithgow Distillery logo embossed on to the bottom of the bottle.
